And a limited edition of 15 chairs were later manufactured. The stool was created as an exclusive design, with only a small number produced, making it a rare piece. This one is number 14 out of the 15 produced.
The design was intended to highlight Quistgaard’s commitment to blending functional artistry with quality craftsmanship. The stool features a solid teak seat, known for its durability, supported by a simple yet elegant frame, typical of Quistgaard’s style. The piece includes a stamp, indicating its authenticity and confirming its design by Quistgaard. The limited production reflects the designer's focus on producing high-quality, handcrafted furniture in smaller quantities, making each piece unique. The 'Sculptors Stool' is both a functional seating option and a sculptural object, embodying the principles of Scandinavian design, emphasizing simplicity, material integrity, and craftsmanship.
