This dining or center table wiith Square Base, designed by Vittorio Introini in the 1960s for Saporiti Italia, is a masterful example of mid-century modern furniture design. The table features a smooth, round walnut tabletop that exudes warmth and sophistication, set atop a bold, geometric square base. This contrast between the organic, flowing top and the strong, angular base creates a visually dynamic and balanced piece, perfectly capturing the essence of 1960s design. Its simplicity and functional elegance make it a timeless statement piece that effortlessly complements a variety of interior styles. Executed in a dark stained wood, most likely Italian Walnut.

Vittorio Introini, a Milanese architect and designer, was a key figure in shaping the modernist design landscape of the 1960s. His work with Saporiti Italia reflects his commitment to creating functional yet artistic pieces that harmonized architecture and furniture design. Known for his minimalist approach, Introini often employed clean lines, geometric shapes, and high-quality materials to create furniture that was both visually striking and practically suited to modern living. His designs, like the Chelsea table, contributed to the global reputation of Italian design, combining artistry with functionality in a way that continues to influence contemporary design.

    Condition
The table top shows a beautiful grain and some minor signs of use, as well as the square base of the table which shows minor signs of age. The top recently received a new finish.
