Three nesting tables designed by Poul Jensen for Selig, Denmark, in the 1960s. The tables are triangle shaped and made of teak wood in a duo tone combination. The feet are made of solid teak and taper into a drumstick shape. The tables are designed to fit one under the other for space-saving storage. The nesting function allows flexible arrangement depending on use. The construction is based on traditional joinery and woodworking techniques common in Danish furniture of the time. The design reflects Jensen’s focus on functionality and structural clarity. The pieces were produced during the peak of Danish modern furniture exports to the United States through Selig.

Poul Jensen was a Danish furniture designer who worked with Selig, an American company that imported Scandinavian furniture into the United States. He is associated with Danish modern design and known for his functional and clean-lined furniture. His work was primarily produced in the 1950s and 1960s. Jensen’s designs were often made in teak and targeted the American market.
