Designed with a circular layout, the bar consists of five burl wood-veneered cabinets, seamlessly connected by triangular solid walnut structural elements. The natural burl wood grain adds depth and organic character, contrasted by the precise geometry of its construction.
At the rear, a freestanding shelving unit made of East Indian rosewood provides an elegant backdrop. This vertical structure is defined by evenly spaced wooden slats, punctuated by maple shelf brackets that support two levels of glass shelving. The use of brass fittings throughout—both functionally in securing the structure and decoratively along the back panel—introduces a refined metallic contrast to the rich wood tones.
The bar’s floating glass countertop, mirroring the curvature of the base, enhances the sculptural dynamism of the piece. Elevated above the main structure by meticulously crafted walnut supports, the glass surface lends an airy quality, allowing the underlying materials to remain visually prominent.
A testament to Italian craftsmanship and mid-century innovation, this dry bar is not only a functional centerpiece but a sculptural work of art. It captures the era’s fascination with organic forms, modular design, and material contrast, making it a distinguished addition to any sophisticated interior.
Condition
The dry bar is in overall good condition. hardly any signs of wear and age. Finish in good condition with some minor surface scratches in the veneer. Minor signs of wear on the inside of the dry bar. The shelving unit shows signs of age such as minor dents, some veneer damage such as missing chips. Small scratches and some surface cracks.
The glass shelves of both the bar and shelving unit show some surface scratches.
Overall the piece is stable, but the shelving unit does move somewhat. The wood joints pivot slightly when under pressure.
