Featuring a sleek, sculptural form, these chairs boast rich cognac leather upholstery that offers both comfort and a striking aesthetic. The soft, voluminous cushions are supported by a minimalistic yet sturdy frame, creating an inviting and relaxed seating experience. The clean lines and rounded edges of the design embody the era’s focus on functional elegance and sophisticated comfort, making the Piumotto chairs a statement piece in any modern interior.
Arrigo Arrighi, an accomplished Italian designer, collaborated with Busnelli to produce a series of highly regarded furniture pieces that blended contemporary design with classic craftsmanship. Known for his keen eye for proportions and a refined sense of style, Arrighi contributed to the brand’s reputation for producing functional yet artistically significant pieces. His work, like the Piumotto lounge chairs, showcases his ability to marry luxury materials with innovative design, creating pieces that stand the test of time both in terms of design and comfort. Arrighi’s collaboration with Busnelli in the 1970s played a key role in elevating the company’s standing in the world of high-end Italian furniture.
Condition
The original leather is still very soft and supple, showing an overall subtle patina. A few very minor spots on the leather such as a small pencil mark on one leg, a minor spot on one seating and a darker spot on the lower backside of the chair.
Bases in good shape with minor user marks. Filling in great condition.
We have consciously chosen to photograph all of our items in their current state to present the real original condition as completely as possible for transparency towards our clients.
In case you have any additional questions about the original condition, always feel free to reach out and ask us for additional images. We do also offer services such as restoration and re-upholstery in case this is wished for.
