On each side, the left and right doors are covered with green leatherette and equipped with cast brass handles. Behind each door, there is a shelf for storage. The center section is characterized by a drop door, which opens to reveal an interior bar area. To the left within this section, there are several drawers for additional organization. The sideboard rests on eight high, bulky wooden legs, adding to its solid and substantial appearance. The top is finished with a walnut veneer, giving the piece an elegant yet functional look. This piece is recognized by it's extreme high care for detail. From all angles it breaths quality alongside the design.
This design closely mirrors the work of Guglielmo Ulrich, showing a model with similar door handles as depicted in the book Guglielmo Ulrich, 1904-1977 by Luca Scacchetti. Referring to a model by Ulrich in Milan in 1932 for the Hyslap residence.
Condition
The sideboard shows some minor dents and scratches which is in line with the age of the piece being from the 1940s. The center door show a few narrow gaps, due to the use of 2 wood types. The green doors on the cabinet show some usage on the sides and the cast bronze handles have a beautiful patina. Additional restoration can be executed upon request
