The lamp consists of a metal structure with brass details and a lacquered white perforated metal shade. The perforations in the shade allow light to pass through the surface and create additional light output around the fixture. The arm and shade are adjustable through a mechanical joint system, allowing changes in height and light direction. The lamp combines brass and lacquered metal materials commonly used in Scandinavian lighting production during the post-war period.
Falkenbergs Belysning was founded in Falkenberg, Sweden, in 1951 and produced lighting for residential, public, and architectural interiors. The company manufactured floor lamps, wall lamps, pendant lighting, and table lamps in metal, brass, glass, and wood. During the mid-20th century, Falkenbergs Belysning collaborated with designers and supplied lighting within Scandinavian modern production and Swedish interior design.
Condition
Overall this floor lamp shows a beautiful patina and age related user marks visible to the stem, base and shade. The light is checked and works for EU standards. Small dent in back of the shade
