This floor lamp dates to the 1950s and originates from Scandinavia. It consists of a wooden base, a wooden stem, and a fiberglass shade. The base forms a solid support...This floor lamp dates to the 1950s and originates from Scandinavia. It consists of a wooden base, a wooden stem, and a fiberglass shade. The base forms a solid support and presents a shaped structure that connects directly to the stem. The stem rises from the center of the base and follows a slight bend along its length. At the upper end, the stem supports a fiberglass shade. The shade attaches through a mounting element that includes wooden components. The fiberglass functions as a diffuser for the light source housed inside the shade. The lamp was produced during a period of postwar interior design development in Northern Europe. The combination of wood and fiberglass reflects material choices available during the mid twentieth century.
Condition
This floor lamp is in very good vintage condition, with some small age related user marks and a very small sign of wear in the fiberglass shade.
