It consists of three individual elements: two curved end sections and one straight middle section, forming a three-seat configuration. The sofa is upholstered in original cognac-colored leather with natural patina developed through use and time. The modular structure allows the elements to be arranged in different compositions, either as a continuous seating line or separated as individual lounge units. De Sede developed the DS-15 series with a focus on ergonomic construction and high-quality leatherwork, manufactured by skilled craftsmen in Klingnau, Switzerland. This model represents the company’s approach to adaptable furniture systems that respond to various interior layouts while maintaining consistent proportions, material continuity, and structural integrity.
De Sede is a Swiss furniture manufacturer established in Klingnau, Switzerland. Originating from a family-owned saddlery workshop, the company transitioned into furniture production in the 1960s. De Sede became known for its precision leather craftsmanship and modular sofa systems designed by leading European designers. The brand focuses on durable construction, detailed upholstery work, and ergonomic design. Its models, such as the DS-600, DS-15, and DS-47, gained international recognition for technical refinement and material quality. De Sede continues to produce furniture in Switzerland, maintaining its reputation for expert leather production and long-lasting seating systems.
ConditionThe sofa is upholstered in original cognac leather showing a strong patina developed through use over time. The leather has been cleaned, treated and nourished with a natural beeswax finish to preserve and strengthen its condition. Signs of wear and aging are present. The back of one element has a slightly darker patina than the other two elements due to less exposure to sunlight in their previous home. The seating remains structurally sound and maintains its original comfort level.
We have consciously chosen to photograph all of our items in their current state to present the real original condition as completely as possible for transparency towards our clients.
In case you have any additional questions about the original condition, always feel free to reach out and ask us for additional images. We do also offer services such as restoration and re-upholstery in case this is wished for.1of 84 -
