The tabletop features a graphic geometric detail integrated into its surface. The table includes two curved bases connected by a wooden element that secures the structure. Two additional leaves can be inserted into the tabletop, allowing for three different table lengths. This feature enables the user to adjust the composition according to space or seating requirements. The design reflects Nissen and Gehl’s focus on functionality, construction, and material integrity.
The company Seltz is known for their high quality furniture manufacturing and have also manufactured the designs of Pierre Chapo.
Søren Nissen and Ebbe Gehl are Danish designers known for their collaborative work in furniture design, particularly through their studio Nissen & Gehl MDD, founded in 1970. They gained recognition for combining traditional Danish woodworking techniques with contemporary forms. Their designs often use solid wood and emphasize visible joinery, clean lines, and long-lasting craftsmanship. Nissen and Gehl have designed for several well-known Danish manufacturers, and their work has been used in both private and public interiors. Their focus on quality materials and construction has contributed to their lasting influence in Scandinavian design.
