The table is made with a pentagonal pattern with plywood inlays, hence the name of this series 'Pentagono', designed by Pedano in the late 1970's. The table is highly rare to find while Pedano his productions were very small. This model gained international recognition after an exhibition of his works, including this table, in the 'Abitare' gallery in New York in October 1979. The table is build from 'Millefogli' or as it is generally named 'layered plywood'.
With it's diabolo shaped base it has a sturdy and heavy character while the plywood inlay gives it a very playful and friendly character.
